Page-Walker Arts Center located in Cary, NC is where Jennifer and Kyle had their outside Father’s Day wedding. It was 97 and hot! Thankfully when they did their run through they decided not to hold the wedding ceremony in the gardens and the blazing sun, but on the patio under shade. When Jennifer first arrived things went south for about 20 mins or so. Jennifer had just left the make-up/hair lady and started to realize her make-up was too dark for her skin and was starting to come off. I honestly had never seen anything like it. Jennifer said it was air brushed on and was devastated. Her mother and I were the only ones with her so we kept calm and tried to keep her calm, all the while wiping her tears. I calmly told her take a deep breath, its ok, instead of photographing the pictures we had planned lets use this time for you to re-do your make-up, that I promise I would get everything she wanted done, just differently than what we had planned. This made her feel so much better and we moved on from our little bump in the road. The funniest thing was when Jennifer was re-applying her make-up we were in a room alone with each other and she says I feel weird sitting here acting like your not here and ignoring you. We both cracked up laughing.
The wedding ceremony was performed by Reverend Kayelily Middleton. I really enjoyed her personality. During the ceremony a train decided to go by, which made for some good laughter, and she was patient and waited for the train to go by, all the while smiling. I would recommend her services to anyone looking to get married. The reception followed at Lucky 32. Lucky 32 has the BEST shrimp and grits!!!!
The wedding cake toppers you will see in the slide show were made by Mary Forester, a friend of the brides. The idea comes from a favorite author, Love Craft. The character Cthulhu. I would also like to give a shout out to Brian Mullins for the photographic inspiration of the set up of the rings of the last image in the slideshow.
This was a small intimate wedding, less than 40 guest, hence me posting more pictures of just the bride and groom.
I love being a wedding photographer in Raleigh,NC
